Class Descriptions

Vinyasa Flow: Classes embrace the flow of yoga postures to allow the breath and feeling of prana to guide the practice. The class has an energetic and creative approach to movements to create a continuous, fluid flow of postures. The approach allows us to fully cultivate the feeling of presence in connection with the personal experience of the practice of yoga through breath, emotion, and physical movement.

Yoga Nidra MeditationYogic sleep–or Yoga Nidra–is the state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. It is where our minds become more aware of inner consciousness and, in turn, our world. Students will remain in a state of consciousness with four senses withdrawn and only use the sense of hearing to stay connected through the guided meditation in a nurturing, safe environment. All levels of ability and experience are welcome.

Restorative Practice: In restorative yoga the body is able to completely relaxed with the help of props and guided meditation. The asanas–poses– are held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. Students will be guided through the mindfulness that is found in all disciplines of yoga with slow and deliberate intention to relax the mind as much as the body. All levels of ability and experience are welcome.
